Terms of Use
Short and plain, like everything else here.
Last updated: 14 July 2026
Using the tool
Hue Shall Not Pass is a free utility provided for anyone to use. You may use it for personal and commercial work — check your project's colours as much as you like. You may not attempt to disrupt the service, misrepresent it as your own, or use it unlawfully.
Accuracy and "as-is"
We take correctness seriously: the contrast maths follow the WCAG 2.1 specification exactly. That said, the tool is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. Meeting a contrast ratio is one part of accessibility, not the whole of it — passing this check does not by itself make a website compliant with WCAG, the ADA, the Equality Act, the European Accessibility Act, or any other law.
