Cookie Policy
What we store on your device, why, and how to say no.

The short version
The colour checker uses no cookies at all. Our analytics is cookieless. The only cookies that ever run are advertising cookies, and only after you agree to them.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Some are essential; others (analytics, advertising) are not, and under UK/EU law those need your consent before they run.
What we use
| Type | Purpose | Consent needed? |
|---|---|---|
| Your consent choice | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected non-essential cookies, so we don't ask again. Stored in local storage, not a cookie, and never leaves your device. | No (strictly necessary) |
| Analytics (Plausible) | Aggregate, anonymous traffic counts. Sets no cookies and collects no personal data. | No cookie is set |
| Advertising (Google AdSense) | Serving, capping and measuring ads, and — only if you allow it — personalising them. Set by Google. | Yes — only after you accept |
Managing cookies
You can accept or reject non-essential cookies with the banner shown on your first visit. To change your mind later, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will reappear. You can also block or delete cookies entirely in your browser settings, and opt out of personalised ads via Google Ad Settings.
